Impressive product variety and sophisticated engineering
30.04.2010 "Rittal - The System: Faster - Better - Worldwide" - that's Rittal's motto at the Hanover Fair, where the supplier of enclosure and case systems is exhibiting an impressively staged system architecture: from modular enclosure and housing technology, intelligent power distribution and energy-efficient system climate control, through to IT infrastructure. Rittal is demonstrating its extensive expertise as a systems supplier for industrial and IT applications at Stand E06 in Hall 11. The company is holding its breath prior to the judging of the prestigious international technology prize - the Hermes Award. Because this time, Rittal is one of the five nominees. With its "Rittal - The System" programme - Rittal is exhibiting a range of solutions at the Hanover Fair that is unparalleled worldwide. In a synthesis of impressive products, sophisticated engineering tools and comprehensive services, the manufacturer has combined its overall competence to form a single system package. Customised industrial applications for industry, building services and energy technology, as well as for IT and telecommunications can be assembled from a single modular system.
At the Hanover Fair, alongside its "Rittal - The System" highlight, the company is placing emphasis on systems consulting, with the aim of making energy savings visible. Efficient engineering plays an important role in cutting costs. Rittal's portfolio includes software for the planning, designing and manufacturing of enclosures, as well as planning software for switchgear systems, a climate control calculation application, and configuration tools for almost every product group.
This year's appearance at the fair impressively demonstrates just how quick Rittal is at picking up on the issues of the future. For the first time, Rittal is exhibiting a variety of solutions for the intelligent electricity grid of the future. These products include the RiCell Flex fuel cells, which this year has been nominated for the renowned international technology prize, the Hermes Award. Rittal has addressed the second major innovation topic - electromobility - with its improved concept for power charging stations. And Rittal is even exhibiting a world first, the autonomous data centre, in the outdoor area between Hall 11 and 12. The Rittal Data Centre Container is being shown, supplied with power from a cogeneration plant made by its sister company Würz Energy.
Besides this, Rittal will be presenting a whole series of innovations. These include, for example, innovative climate control solutions such as the new generation of TopTherm fan-and-filter units, and the TopTherm Chiller recooler range. Together with Elpro, Rittal is presenting a new rack-mounted system for low-voltage switchgear at the Hanover Fair. The basis of the outgoing feeder panels as a fully rack-mounted system is the Ri4Power system, by means of which Versions 1 to 4 can be made from one single system of "building blocks". Plant constructors also receive comprehensive support in assembly work from the further improved Power Engineering planning software, now available in Version 5.0. And of course, visitors can look forward also to new developments in the enclosure segment, for example in the field of hygienic design. A new plug inlet system is making it easier to assemble cables in enclosures and cabinets.
Anyone who missed these IT highlights at CeBIT 2010 now has a second chance to see them at the Hanover Fair: In a glass Live Data Centre, Rittal is showing the infrastructure components in productive use.
