In-house trade fair at Rittal
Rittal hosts an international audience
15.07.2010 Because of the flight bans imposed due to the volcanic ash, many foreign customers and other interested parties were unable to attend the Hanover Trade Fair in mid-April. This prompted Rittal to host its own in-house trade fair. 350 visitors from around the globe accepted Rittal's invitation.

The Icelandic ash cloud in April prevented a significant proportion of international visitors from travelling to the Hanover Trade Fair. As a special service for its customers and other interested parties, therefore, Rittal GmbH & Co. KG decided to host its own in-house trade fair in Herborn from 5 to 8 July. Following a welcoming address by Bernd Eckel, President Sales at Rittal, the 350 or so visitors from 28 different countries, ranging from Europe, to North and Latin America, through to Asia, took advantage of an extensive information programme covering all aspects of our solution concept.
"Rittal - The System".
As well as presentations and factory visits, workshops were also held in our newly created Training Center. The training centre allowed visitors to experience Rittal's products at first hand, and in future will continue to be used for staff and customer training. The showroom was also redesigned especially for this event. The main focus of the display is now "Rittal - The System", complemented by service and information points on the engineering tools and Rittal system consulting.
The response from our guests was very positive, and there was a high level of interest in products from the world's leading suppliers of enclosure and case technology, system climate control, power distribution and IT infrastructure. "This in-house trade fair was very interesting. Rittal has an excellent system", remarked Noé Altamirano frrom Siemens in Mexico. Victor Gonzalez from DPA in Chile added: "I am attending this event to familiarise myself with the product portfolio as a whole. I would also like to gain an insight into the manufacturing and certification processes. This event in Herborn has exceeded my expectations". Hemantkumar Mharte from Prudent Solutions in India added that he would be keen to attend a similar event at Rittal in future.
Rittal concluded that the event was an all-round success. President Sales Bernd Eckel announced, "We are delighted that so many international customers and interested parties made the trip, in some cases travelling long distances, to see us. Their positive feedback confirms that we made the right decision to hold an in-house trade fair".
